Who we are

Mono & Matter is a trading name of SM Worx Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17223018). Registered office: 48a Durham Road, London SW20 0TW. We decide how your details are used, so we’re responsible for them. Write to us any time at monoandmatter@gmail.com.

What we collect

When you join the founding list:

  • your email address
  • if you choose to tell us, your first name, the pieces you’d want, and whether you’d pay a deposit
  • how you found us: the page you joined from, the site that sent you, and any campaign tags in the link you clicked
  • when you joined

We don’t use cookies or tracking pixels to collect any of this. You don’t have to give us anything except your email to join.

What we use it for

  • To email you about the first edition: when it’s ready, how the pieces are being made, and your first pick. We do this because you asked us to when you joined (your consent), and you can withdraw that at any time.
  • To decide how many of each piece to make, using totals across everyone on the list. This is in our legitimate interest as a small business planning its first edition, and it doesn’t affect you.

We never sell your details or share them for anyone else’s marketing.

Who handles it for us

The site and the list are hosted by Amazon Web Services, and your details are stored in their London data centre. If we start using an email service to send updates, we’ll name it here before we do.

How long we keep it

Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details, or 12 months after the first edition goes on sale (planned for spring 2027), whichever comes first. After that we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • show you the details we hold about you
  • correct them
  • delete them
  • stop emailing you (every email will have an unsubscribe link)

Email monoandmatter@gmail.com and we’ll reply within a month. If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
